IN A COMPELLING DISPLAY, GERMAN CONCEPTUAL ARTIST MAXIMILIAN PRÜFER AND LIGHTING DESIGNER SEBASTIAN HEPTING HAVE PARTNERED WITH KAIA TO CONSTRUCT A CHANDELIER OF 1099 GLASS TUBES FILLED WITH HONEY. THIS REMARKABLE WORK OF ART AND DESIGN STANDS AS THE CENTREPIECE OF THE "FRUITS OF LABOUR" EXHIBITION AT VIENNA'S WELTMUSEUM, A PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTION RECOGNIZED GLOBALLY FOR ITS DEDICATION TO WORLD CULTURE AND ANTHROPOLOGICAL EXPLORATION.
KAIA PRESENTS 'THE EMPYREAN' A NEW INSTALLATION AND COLLECTION DESIGNED IN COLLABORATION WITH GSL WORKS INTERPRETING LIGHTING'S EVOCATIVE AND SPIRITUAL ESSENCE.
At Decorex 2023, KAIA presented an installation devoted to sustainability — a guiding principle in our work and collaborations. Together with artist Maximilian Prüfer, we unveiled NEKTAR, a continuation of our shared exploration into environmental awareness and the delicate balance between nature, craft, and design.
For the Walden exhibition at Schloss Hollenegg for Design, KAIA presented Inner Glow, a limited-edition chandelier by Sophie Dries. Set within the castle’s historic rooms, the piece explores the dialogue between the organic and the geometric — where raw, hand-crafted papier-mâché meets smooth blown glass and precise brass lines. A meditation on balance, Inner Glow reflects nature’s quiet ability to coexist with human craft.
During Milan Design Week, KAIA joined forces with Amy Somerville to transform the historic Sala da Pranzo of Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi into a stage for The Golden Fleece — a luminous centerpiece inspired by Greek mythology and designed by Markus Benesch. Crafted from raw brass and advanced LED technology, the installation weaves together myth, material, and modern craftsmanship.
